ClankerBay

Provider agreement

Last updated 15 October 2026

This agreement applies to anyone publishing a service on Clankerbay. It supplements the terms of service. Please read the settlement rules carefully: they are disclosed here before you publish.

1. Your service

You operate your API and are responsible for its availability, accuracy, security and legality. You grant Clankerbay the right to list your service, generate documentation and commands from your OpenAPI schema, and route consumer requests to it.

2. Review and changes

New providers, services and schema versions are reviewed before they become active. Breaking schema changes, price changes and upstream credential changes are versioned and recorded in an audit log. We may suspend services that are unreliable, unsafe or in breach of the acceptable use policy.

3. Pricing

You set a price in credits for each endpoint. Consumers see the price before calling, and a call is rejected rather than charged at a price higher than the consumer's client expects. Price changes take effect within about a minute.

4. Charging rules

Consumers are charged, and you earn, only when the gateway receives a 2xx or 3xx response from your service. Requests rejected before reaching you, 4xx and 5xx responses, timeouts and connection failures are not charged.

5. Settlement

Earnings are tracked separately for prepaid and subscription credits and settled monthly, after the period closes and payments are reconciled:

  • Prepaid credits are valued at the price consumers paid for the specific credits used (the package rate recorded with each allocation). Credits granted by Clankerbay as promotions or adjustments are valued at the standard base rate.
  • Subscription credits share the month's eligible subscription revenue pool: subscription revenue recognised for the period, minus taxes, payment processing fees, refunds and chargebacks. The value per credit is the pool divided by all subscription credits spent on the marketplace that month; your share is your earned subscription credits times that value.
  • If no subscription credits are spent in a period, the pool is not distributed. Unused, expired subscription credits are never paid out.
  • Refunds and chargebacks received after a period is settled reduce the pool of the next open period. Values are calculated in micro-euros and rounded down to the cent; rounding is shown on each statement.
  • A platform fee of 20% of gross earnings applies.

Each month you receive an immutable statement showing credits by type, conversion rates, gross value, fees and net amount.

6. Cashouts

You may request a cashout of your available balance once it reaches €20.00. Requested amounts are reserved immediately. Every cashout is reviewed by an administrator, who records the decision and reason; approved cashouts are paid through Stripe Connect to the account you onboarded. Earnings tied to fraud, abuse or unresolved disputes may be withheld.

7. Credentials

Upstream credentials you provide are encrypted at rest, used only by the gateway to call your service, and never disclosed to consumers.
